Abstract
This review examines El Perú sí tiene futuro. Cómo recuperar la brújula (2025), a book by Luis Carranza Ugarte that brings together newspaper columns and essays reflecting on the main political, economic, and institutional challenges facing contemporary Peru. The review analyzes the structure and principal arguments of the book, highlighting its contributions to debates on development, democratic governance, economic policies, and the need for reforms aimed at strengthening the State and restoring the country's capacity for strategic direction. It also emphasizes the author's experience in public management and his effort to formulate concrete proposals for regaining a path of growth, productivity, and social well-being. The book emerges as a valuable reference for reflecting on Peru's challenges in the twenty-first century and the construction of a long-term national project.
