Abstract
The Special Project for the preparation and execution of the Lima 2019 XVIII Pan American Games and VI Parapan American Games was responsible for the region's most important sporting event, held in our country for the first time.
This sporting event posed a major challenge, not only regarding sports infrastructure but also the installation of technological infrastructure—an undertaking of unprecedented scale in Peru.
Lima 2019 hosted 8,369 athletes from 41 countries, along with their delegations, all of whom had continuous access to technology services. Furthermore, the 40 venues remained interconnected via audio, video, data, and radio communication services. The sporting events featured 1,114 hours of live coverage over 29 days, broadcast via 13 simultaneous satellite TV feeds to the 44 countries that had acquired broadcasting rights.
