Abstract
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has extensive experience in promoting knowledge exchange and collaborative methodologies among the various stakeholders with whom it engages as part of its mission to provide financial and technical support to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Drawing on this regional experience, the IDB has developed a practical guide designed to help organizations and communities select and implement the knowledge exchange methodology that best aligns with their specific needs and objectives.
The guide presents a range of tools in a clear and accessible manner, including Code Expeditions, Data Expeditions, Hackathons, Ideathons, Knowledge Exchanges, Knowledge Mapping, Smart Crowdsourcing, Documentation, Virtual Globetrotters, and What Would You Do? For each methodology, the guide highlights its key benefits and illustrates its application through practical case studies.
